–Background

Larry Warren describes himself as more of a songwriter/musician, rather than an artist/performer. Most of Larry’s tunes are contemporary country and contemporary adult pop, with as few of his tracks in the blues and reggae genres.

–Primary instrument?

Acoustic guitar

–Music education background?

I don’t really consider myself an ‘artist/performer’ but more a musician/songwriter. My music education is self-taught.

–If you had a time machine and could record or perform once with any artist, who would it be?

I don’t know about performing, but I wish I was on the roof top when The Beatles performed for the last time.

–Moment you first knew you would be a musician?

Again, I was influenced by The Beatles, and like 1000’s of others, I thought having and playing a guitar would be very cool.

–Advice you would give to a younger family member interested in a music career?

If you have the passion, the deep interest, the persistence, and the devotion– go for it/do it. Because once you ‘get it’, and learning a musical instrument is not easy, it will be there for the rest of your life, unlike other things like sports.

–Songs or albums you’d take with you to a desert island?

Abbey Road by The Beatles

White Album by The Beatles

Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits

Billy Joel’s Greatest Hits

The song ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’

–If you could master another instrument, what would it be?

Piano

–A few of your favorite tracks that you would want us to feature in the blog.

If I have to pick a few of my tunes I guess—

‘We’re Getting Married Mix 1’ http://www.musicrevolution.com/search/?trackid=24637 –that’s my Beatles wanna be song.

‘Me and My Ukulele’ http://www.musicrevolution.com/search/?trackid=21440 –that’s my nod to George Harrison. He was a huge ukulele fan/player and it was a finalist in a national songwriting contest.

‘I Wanna Be You’ http://www.musicrevolution.com/search/?trackid=52574 –just an upbeat positive tune.
